Southwest Home

Believe it or not this home began over 20 years ago…. in 1997 to be exact, when Maves Construction built this owner’s previous home. When the Owners wanted less acreage to care for they purchased a smaller lot and hired Maves Construction to start the design process. The most difficult thing about this design was the loved their previous home so much they wanted it “exactly the same ” and this lot was perfect for a walk out basement. We were able to keep enough of original floor plan and make the house fit the lot like it needed. The southwest feel of this home exudes warmth and comfort while still offering the latest and greatest design trends. The main floor is very functional with all major living areas including the master bedroom and an office, while the walk-out basement allows for separation from the guest quarters and game room. With traditional southwest design elements, the home is a representation of the style of homes found across the desert southwest United States and makes for a very efficient home. Beyond the interior living space is an expansive covered deck allowing for outdoor entertaining while taking in the view of the Bookcliffs, San Juan Mountians and the monument.
